About

Lezlie Revelle Zucker is an award-winning playwright, author, and singer-songwriter from the Midwest. Since she was old enough to walk and sing--which her parents will happily tell you was far too early--she has performed in a myriad of aspects: choirs, variety shows, theatre productions, coffee houses, fairs, and festivals. Over the years, she has taught college writing, led creative writing workshops for children and adults, and devoted time to composing music and writing sacred drama for religious organizations. She has been featured in the Kansas City Star, the Shawnee Magazine, and the Kansas City Jewish Chronicle, and made several appearances on KKFI FM, Kansas City Community Radio.

Lezlie currently works as the Music Coordinator for Congregation Beth Torah in Overland Park, KS.

Theatre

Lezlie has written original plays for middle school, high school, and adult audiences. She spent eight years as artist-in-residence for Olathe Northwest High School, working with students in a collaborative program that took them from conception to production. Her plays have been produced both locally and in festivals across the United States. Lezlie is a producer with Potluck Productions, a resident playwright with Midwest Dramatists Center and can be found on the Dramatists Guild and New Play Exchange websites. She is currently writing a musical with immersive theatre playwright Dave Hanson.

Music

Over the years, Lezlie has appeared on over a dozen albums, as a solo artist, background vocalist, and part of various duos and bands. She has four albums with local recording label Enneagram Records. She blends her songwriting talents with a roots rock/folk feel, a buoyant personality, and an occasional Celtic flair. You can find Lezlie’s music on the Enneagram Records website, CDBaby, iTunes, or your favorite music download site.

Jewish Music

Lezlie has also started publishing her Jewish music and prayer settings. While most of it still lives in her head and on her computer, you can also find her work at Transcontinental Music Publications, where she has been featured in both Shabbat and Nigun Anthologies.

Books

In addition to songwriting and playwriting, Lezlie writes short stories and novels. Stay tuned for details.
